EuroMaint Industry has signed a new framework agreement with Renova for maintenance of its waste-fuelled power plant in Sävenäs – a plant that supplies Gothenburg with environmentally-friendly electricity and district heating.

EuroMaint Industry, via its recently acquired subsidiary EISAB, has already been providing maintenance services to Renova in Sävenäs. The framework agreement which has now been signed involves the continued provision of preventive and corrective maintenance for the plant’s mechanical components.

Renova is western Sweden’s leading environmental company within waste and recycling. The company is owned by 11 municipalities in the region and collects and processes waste, recovering materials and energy, on behalf of companies, municipalities, public companies and national material companies.

“The power and heating plant in Sävenäs is one of the world’s most advanced plants for energy recovery through waste incineration. The plant produces electricity and is also responsible for about 30 per cent of the region's district heating supply. Any operating problems can have major consequences for the population of the region. Efficient maintenance increases reliability, and we can also reduce the stoppage times at the plant,” explains Göran Klamas, Works Manager at Renova.

“We currently have around 15-20 people on site at Renova in Sävenäs for preventive maintenance and repairs of the plant’s mechanical components. We are proud that we have again been awarded the commission of contributing to effective operation of the plant through our maintenance services,” says Nicklas Falk, CEO of EuroMaint Industry.

The new framework agreement with Renova runs for two years, with the option of a further 3-year extension.
