EuroMaint Industry has signed a letter of intent for the acquisition of the valve service business from Marmaverken Ventil in Söderhamn.
Marmaverken Ventil is a company specialised in servicing valves and other peripheral equipment for the paper and pulp industry, chemical industry, power industry and other process industries. The business has a turnover of approx. 10 million SEK and has 7 employees in Söderhamn.
The planned acquisition broadens EuroMaint Industry's customer base and range of services. The company brings important competence in valve maintenance and other peripheral equipment to EuroMaint Industry. This means EuroMaint Industry can offer its customers expert service and maintenance for yet another critical component.
- "The transaction is a part of the strategy to strengthen our presence in the paper and pulp industry as well as the power industry. Through the acquisition, we broaden our customer base and I see great opportunities to develop our joint range of services further," says Nicklas Falk, CEO of EuroMaint Industry.
Marmaverken Ventil was founded in 1986 as a collaboration between Korsnäs and the valve manufacturer Neles. The business was taken over later by Neles, which in its turn was acquired by Metso Automation. The company, which has been owned by the Managing Director, Anders Andersson, since 2004, has developed into an independent valve specialist.
- "The takeover of our business gives our employees a stronger employer and our customers obtain access to a broader range of services, both when it comes to the service of critical components and maintenance services," says Anders Andersson, Marmaverken Ventil's MD.
The planned acquisition is a business deal concerning assets and liabilities, and it is planned that the operations will transfer to EuroMaint Industry from 31 March 2010.
