Euromaint Rail uses a number of remedial measures to reduce the environmental impact.
Among other things, measures are being taken to reduce our energy consumption, increase environmental adjustments during refurbishments and maintenance of rolling stock as well as to optimise our production processes from an environmental viewpoint.
All of Euromaint Rail’s workshops are environmentally certified according to ISO 14001 and we all our employees environmentally trained so that they are continuously aware of and have knowledge about the environment.
Implemented enviromental activities
In recent years Euromaint Rail has implemented a number of measures to reduce our environmental impact. Including:
- Switching to green electricity.
- Mapping all workshop energy consumption and introducing efficiencies.
- Reducing waste that is sent to landfills by 60 percent and reclassifying certain waste for recycling that previously went to landfill.
- Reducing energy consumption by 18 percent.
- Influencing maintenance partners to increase the proportion that is environmentally certified.
- Starting to measure the volume value of products supplied from environmentally certified maintenance partners.
