EuroMaint Rail has won an order from Norwegian Jernbaneverket Bane Energi to modernise two train power converters. EuroMaint Rail's efforts mean that the converters will become as good as new and can be used for many more years to come.

A train power converter is used to supply the train's overhead line system with current. Thanks to EuroMaint Rail's efforts, the converters will become as good as new, reliability will be increased and maintenance needs will be reduced.

"Buying completely new converters is a major investment and it is both cost-effective and good for the environment to modernise them instead," says Lelle Cryssanthander, Marketing Manager, business area Componente, EuroMaint Rail.

EuroMaint Rail is responsible for everything from the transport of the converters to carrying out the modernisation in the workshop and onsite commissioning when they are ready.

The assignment will be performed at EuroMaint Rail's workshop in Åmål during autumn 2011 and deliveries will be made during summer and autumn 2012.
