Mats Önner, CEO of maintenance company EuroMaint Rail, is leaving his post today. Ole Kjörrefjord, President and CEO of the EuroMaint Group, has been appointed acting CEO.
Ole Kjörrefjord and Mats Önner are in agreement that the company needs a CEO with a new profile in order to lead continued development of EuroMaint Rail.
“Under Mats Önner’s leadership, EuroMaint Rail has been transformed into a modern service company with a clear strategy. The company now has a strong and well-structured organisation and has secured major customer assignments. It has also initiated expansion in Europe with the acquisition of Germany’s largest independent maintenance company for rail traffic. The groundwork is now complete and a CEO with a different profile is now required to lead EuroMaint Rail over the next few years,” says Ole Kjörrefjord, President and CEO of the EuroMaint Group.
“The focus and strategy of the company will remain the same. We will continue our focused work on increasing availability, reliability and the service life of our customers' rolling stock," says Ole Kjörrefjord, President and CEO of the EuroMaint Group.
Mats Önner, who took up the post as CEO in September 2008, will be leaving his post today.
“It has been great fun to lead the work of creating a new, modern company that can make the most of the opportunities available and hold its own in an increasingly competitive market. EuroMaint Rail is a company with great potential and I will follow its continued development with interest,” says Mats Önner.
The recruitment process for a new CEO for EuroMaint Rail will commence immediately.
